ການຢັ້ງຢືນອິນຊີ / Organic certified

The members of the MTPC have been certified organic by the Organic Agriculture Certification Thailand (ACT) in early 2023. The certificate was handed in by the Ministry of Agriculture of Lao PDR at the occasion of the International Tea Day 2023 in Vientiane, organized by the Mekong Tea Project and financed by the AFD / French Development Agency.

The organic certificate guarantees ecological practices in tea gardens, health of the nature and producers and the safety of tea for consumers 🌱

Convinced by the importance of a healthy environment in tea production, the MTPC is continuously encouraging the adoption of agroforestry practices in gardens.

The MTPC is supported by the Mekong Tea Project, which is funded by AFD and implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Lao PDR, with technical support by GRET Laos, LCG and AVSF.
